Child Support & Spousal Support /Alimony Insurance

CTA Life’s premier support insurance product, Rebalancing Beneficiaries Support Insurance (RBSI) secures support payments for Child Support, Children’s Special Expenses, Children’s Future Special Expenses such as College and University, Spousal Support (Alimony), and Other Debt Repayments between the parties.  Rebalancing Beneficiaries Support Insurance merges Family Law and Insurance Law legal compliance issues to secure support payments. As monthly support payments are paid to the Support Beneficiary, security for that Support Beneficiary declines, matching the remaining support payments owed. The balance of the policy amount is reallocated and rebalanced monthly or yearly to other beneficiaries such as children or a new partner. CTA Life makes it fair for both the support payor and the support recipient.

RBSI really helps separated co-parents & children, or ex-spouses

The death of a supporting ex-spouse or a critical illness will change a child’s life forever. To financially support a child(ren) means securing support payments with life insurance. Come To Agreement / CTA Life represents leading Insurance Companies, helping separated and divorced ex-spouses and children secure their financial future. It’s low-cost and responsible. Family Law Professionals find it meets the legal needs of their clients.

Separation & Divorce Insurance Program

Family Lawyers Love RBSI

It’s fair for both parties and great for separated and divorced families.

Ex-spouses and Family Law Professionals can calculate Support Insurance requirements for Child Support, Children’s Special Expenses including future expenses (college or university costs, special needs, etc.), alimony/spousal support and equalization payments or debt repayment. You can also include Cost of Living Adjustments (COLA) to determine the Support Insurance obligations, Critical Illness Insurance requirements and Long-Term Disability needs. Critical Illness coverage secures support payments if the supporting spouse suffers a major illness while Long-Term Disability pays a monthly amount allowing support payments to continue.

Come To Agreement / CTA Life represents some of the largest Life Insurance Underwriters to secure Family Law support payments.

Here's How It Works

  • In the event of the support payor’s death, the Support Beneficiary will receive a lump sum insurance payment for support she or he is still owed (as legally agreed to), while the policy leaves the remaining rebalanced proceeds to the children or to a new spouse or partner, etc.  Each month, or on the anniversary date of the policy / agreement, the support amount owing is rebalanced.
  • There are provisions for Trustees regarding underage children.
  • The legally agreed to Beneficiary Designation Schedule (from CTA Life) is attached to the Separation Agreement or Divorce Order or Court Order and to the Life Insurance Policy and Insurance Company’s Beneficiary Form.
  • There’s an option for the Support Beneficiary to be “Irrevocable” on the Insurance Policy and for the “Irrevocability” to be automatically canceled at the conclusion of the agreed to Support Term.
  • There’s even a Notification Option to advise the Support Beneficiary if a policy is going to lapse, so payments can be made, keeping the policy payments up-to-date and active. This is a significant benefit in Family Law.
  • Licensed Insurance Advisors/Agents sell Rebalancing Beneficiaries Support Insurance. It’s underwritten by some of the largest insurance companies but is only available through Come To Agreement / CTA Life.
